Why should we use World Banknotes Exchange and not other foreign currency exchange places?
We do not charge any Commission or Fees on all foreign currency exchange transactions unlike other businesses and our exchange rates are excellent. Our fast and friendly service comes from 28 years in the business listening to our customers.

Which currencies do you buy and sell?
World Bank Notes, an international currency exchange in Los Angeles, buys and sells over 90 different world currencies with specialization in:
Euros
Japanese Yen
UK Pounds
Swiss Francs
Canadian Dollars
Mexican Pesos

We offer the best foreign currency rate in downtown Los Angeles and the greater Los Angeles area. Our rates are lower than banks, airport, hotels and malls and most vendors in the LA area.

In addition to our excellent exchange rates, all our foreign exchange transactions are commission free!

Wouldn't it be better to purchase my currency once I reach my destination?
Whether planning a trip across the country or a trip across the globe it's always a good idea to carry some cash on hand. We always reccommend that you carry at least $100 worth of local currency when traveling in case you run into businesses that won't take a credit card, you land at your destination on a bank holiday or if somehow you can't find a bank right away. With cash in your pocket, you have the reassurance that you will be able to handle the little suprises that traveling often throws your way.

Are your rates really better than the banks?
Not only are our rates better than a bank's rates, but our rates beat anyone else you might see exchanging currency. Banks rates are fixed, they stay locked at whatever the rate was at the beginning of the business day, while a private business such as World Banknotes Exchange has the flexibility to change with the market.

Airport currency exchange businesses may seem convenient, but it's well known among travelers that you pay much more for your cash and sometimes the lines cancel out any convenience purchasing at the airport may offer.

If you are considering purchasing your currency from a hotel you need to be aware that because it isn't their business, hotels will often charge premium rates for your convenience.

If you don't have my currency in stock, how long will it take for you to get it?"
In most cases World Banknotes can have your currency the next day, in rare cases it might take up to 48 hours to stock it for you. If you have an uncommon need it's always best to contact us ahead of time.

Do you change coins?
Most currency exchange businesses and banks don't deal in foreign coin, it's just too hard to keep in stock. We recommend you exchange it for bills before coming back to the United States or donating it to the less forunate while you are there.

Are there restrictions on how much currency I can carry on my trip?
Many countries impose exchange controls on the export or import of currency,we do not assume any responsibility for any regulatory restrictions on currency import or export. It is your responsibility to comply with any restrictions that may be in effect from time to time.

Do you offer parking?
Downtown Los Angeles has short term street parking available at about $4 to $5 for approximately each 15 to 20 minute block of time. An alternative is to try the valet parking at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel next door, their rates are $4.50 for 15 minutes but sometimes (not guaranteed) if there isn’t an event going on often they will let you park for free while you do business in the building, please make sure to give them a tip as a thank you.
